PCE Installation and Upgrade Guide
This guide tells how to install and configure the Illumio Core Policy Compute Engine (PCE). Before installing, make sure to do the preparation steps described in Preparing for PCE Installation.
The PCE is only one part of a complete Illumio Core system installation. You must also install one or more Virtual Enforcement Nodes (VENs) as described in the VEN Installation and Upgrade Guide.
The PCE Installation and Upgrade Guide is intended for Illumio Core On Premises customers only.
For Illumio Core Cloud customers, the software for the PCE is installed and managed by Illumio Operations. As an Illumio Core Cloud customer, you are only responsible for deploying agent software, such as the Illumio VEN and the Illumio C-VEN, on the workloads in your environment.
